PRX-T33 is a proprietary peeling formulation developed by WiQo that combines 33% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) with hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) and kojic acid in a specific ratio that fundamentally changes how TCA interacts with the skin. In conventional TCA peels, high concentrations of TCA produce protein coagulation in the epidermis and papillary dermis, triggering visible exfoliation and requiring significant downtime for skin recovery. In PRX-T33, the H₂O₂ component acts as a chemical antagonist that precipitates the TCA before it can coagulate the epidermal proteins — the TCA penetrates through the epidermis to reach the dermis without causing the epidermal destruction that produces visible peeling. The result is a treatment that delivers the deep dermal stimulation of a 33% TCA peel — activating fibroblasts, triggering collagen and elastin synthesis, and improving the structural quality of the dermis — while leaving the epidermis intact and functional. Patients experience no visible exfoliation, no surface peeling, and no significant downtime: redness typically resolves within 30–60 minutes of the treatment session.
