Morpheus8 fractional radiofrequency microneedling performed at Pearlman Aesthetic Surgery's New York City office for skin laxity, texture improvement, fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and submental contouring. The device uses gold-coated microneedles at programmable depths of 0.5 to 7 mm to deliver bipolar RF energy into the dermis and subdermal tissue. Regularly used as a complement to facelift and liposuction procedures at this practice.
Morpheus8 by InMode is a fractional RF microneedling platform offered at Pearlman Aesthetic Surgery both as a standalone non-surgical treatment and as a complement to surgical procedures — most commonly used in combination with facelift surgery for enhanced skin quality outcomes and with BodyTite liposuction for progressive skin tightening in body treatment areas. The device fires an array of 24 gold-coated insulated microneedles that penetrate to a programmable depth between 0.5 mm and 7 mm, then deliver bipolar radiofrequency energy at the needle tip within the tissue. The fractional pattern of needle insertion — creating hundreds of discrete channels with intact tissue bridges between them — triggers a layered wound-healing response: mechanical injury from the needle channels stimulates the inflammatory phase of wound healing, while the RF thermal energy creates focal coagulation zones that generate a secondary collagen synthesis signal. The combination of the two stimuli produces greater and more sustained collagen remodelling than either mechanism alone. For facial treatments, the procedure targets skin laxity along the lower face and jowl, fine lines and creases, enlarged pores, sebaceous activity, and atrophic acne scars. For body areas including the abdomen and thighs, the greater needle depth range allows subdermal heating and collagen contraction in the tissue planes below the fat layer. The Burst Mode delivery option fires RF at three sequential depths per needle insertion without withdrawing and reinserting the handpiece, layering energy across a depth gradient in a single stamp and reducing total treatment time. Topical numbing cream is applied thirty minutes prior to the session. Mild redness and micro-swelling from the needle channels resolve within two to three days. A recommended course of three sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart is associated with best cumulative collagen remodelling, with the peak outcome visible at twelve weeks post final session.
