About this treatment
Dr Yuen performs mole removal using both surgical excision and laser ablation techniques, selected based on the size, depth, and location of the lesion. Each mole is assessed prior to removal to screen for any atypical features that may require histopathological examination.
Surgical excision is used for deeper or larger moles and provides a tissue sample for pathology if needed. Laser ablation is suitable for superficial, clearly benign moles and offers minimal downtime with a clean cosmetic outcome. Both methods are performed under local anaesthesia in the clinic.
