About this treatment
A dental implant is a small, biocompatible titanium screw placed into the jawbone to take the role of a missing tooth root. Once in position it is left to integrate with the surrounding bone over a healing period of several weeks to a few months, after which a separately priced crown is attached to restore the visible tooth. Because the implant is anchored in the bone rather than relying on adjacent teeth, it leaves healthy neighbouring teeth untouched…
