Porcelain Veneer

A porcelain veneer is a thin, custom-made ceramic shell bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its shape, colour and alignment. Each veneer is individually crafted to match the surrounding teeth, and treatment is planned tooth by tooth so the result looks natural and proportionate.

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of dental ceramic that are bonded to the visible surface of the front teeth to refine their appearance. They are a versatile cosmetic option used to brighten teeth that do not respond to whitening, reshape teeth that are chipped, worn or slightly irregular, and close minor gaps, producing a more even and balanced smile. Because each veneer is made individually, its shade, translucency and shape can be tailored to blend with the neighbouring teeth. Treatment usually spans two stages. At the first visit the tooth is assessed and a small amount of enamel may be gently prepared so the veneer sits flush, after which impressions or a digital scan are taken and sent to the laboratory; a temporary may be placed in the meantime. At the second visit the finished porcelain veneer is tried in, checked for fit and colour, and bonded into place with a strong adhesive resin, then polished. Porcelain is hard-wearing and resists staining well, and veneers are associated with long-lasting results when looked after with good hygiene and care to avoid biting very hard objects; a night guard may be advised for patients who grind their teeth. Veneers are most successful where the underlying teeth and gums are healthy, and the dentist will discuss whether veneers, crowns or orthodontics best suit your goals, along with realistic expectations about shape and shade, before any preparation begins. The 2,550 zł fee is per tooth, so a multi-tooth smile makeover is quoted according to the number of veneers planned.
