Implant Crown (Restoration on Implant)

The implant crown is the final, visible part of a dental implant — a custom-made ceramic tooth fixed onto an implant post to replace a missing tooth. At OrthoTeam the crown is fabricated to match the shape and colour of the neighbouring teeth and secured to the integrated implant via an abutment, restoring natural chewing function and appearance. It is the restorative stage that follows implant placement and healing, planned with in-house CBCT imaging.

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth in two functional parts: a titanium post that is placed into the jawbone and acts as an artificial root, and a crown that sits on top to restore the visible tooth. This treatment covers the implant crown — the custom ceramic restoration that is made and fitted once the implant has integrated with the bone. After the implant has healed, an abutment is connected to the post and an impression or digital scan is taken so the laboratory can craft a crown that matches the size, shape and shade of the surrounding teeth. The finished crown is then secured to the implant, either screwed or cemented, and adjusted so it meets the opposing teeth comfortably. Replacing a single tooth with an implant-supported crown is associated with restored chewing function and a natural appearance, and because it stands on its own implant it does not rely on grinding down the adjacent teeth the way a conventional bridge does. OrthoTeam plans implant treatment with in-house cone-beam CT (CBCT) imaging, which provides a three-dimensional view of the bone and nearby structures for precise placement; the surgical placement of the implant and any preparatory bone grafting are assessed and priced individually because they depend on each patient's anatomy and healing.
