Invisalign Clear Aligners

Orchard Scotts Dental operates a dedicated Invisalign clinic within its Liat Towers practice, reflecting the depth of the team's commitment to clear aligner treatment. As an Invisalign-certified provider, the clinic treats the full spectrum of orthodontic presentations — from minor crowding and spacing corrections to moderate and complex malocclusions involving overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites.

Treatment begins with a digital 3D scan of the patient's dentition using an intraoral scanner, eliminating the need for traditional putty impressions. This scan generates a ClinCheck digital simulation that shows projected tooth movements stage-by-stage, allowing the patient to visualise their expected outcome before any aligners are manufactured. The full aligner series is then fabricated by Align Technology to the customised prescription.

Aligners are worn for approximately 20–22 hours per day and changed every one to two weeks, with review appointments scheduled every 6–8 weeks to assess progress. For complex movements, SmartForce attachments (small tooth-coloured composite buttons) are bonded to specific teeth to facilitate rotation and torque. Interproximal reduction (IPR) — gentle enamel polishing between teeth — may be incorporated where spacing is required.
