The complete STI test is designed to provide thorough sexual health screening in a single appointment by combining the two complementary testing methods needed to cover the major sexually transmitted infections. The swab or urine component detects chlamydia and gonorrhoea at one anatomical site using PCR, while the blood draw screens for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B — infections that circulate systemically and cannot be detected through localised samples. This combination is aligned with Dutch public health screening recommendations and provides the most commonly requested set of STI tests in a single visit. Additional body sites for chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing — such as throat or anal swabs — can be added for a supplementary fee per location, which is relevant for individuals whose exposure history includes oral or anal contact. All laboratory work is processed by the ISO 15189-certified Reinier Haga MDC laboratory. Standard results are available the next business day through a secure notification. A positive result on any marker includes a physician consultation to discuss treatment options, many of which can be administered at the clinic on the same day. The complete test is recommended from 14 days post-exposure for the PCR component and from six weeks post-exposure for the blood-borne markers to ensure reliable detection.
