Many STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections), if left untreated, can lead to severe health problems, including infertility, complications in pregnancy, and increased risk of HIV infection. Early detection through testing allows for timely treatment, which can mitigate or prevent these outcomes. Regular STI testing is part of responsible health maintenance, especially for those who are sexually active with multiple partners or new partners. It ensures ongoing monitoring of one’s sexual health. The test covers urine, PCR swabs and bloods for ultimate peace of mind. Simple and accurate blood test from a laboratory you can speak to.
Key Details
Who Is This For?
Anyone who is sexually active and hasn't been tested recently. People starting a new relationship who want to know their status. Individuals who have had unprotected sex or multiple partners. Anyone experiencing symptoms like unusual discharge, sores, or painful urination. Routine screening as recommended by health guidelines (annually for sexually active adults).
What's Included
Preparation Required
No fasting required. For the most accurate HIV results, test at least 2–4 weeks after potential exposure (window period varies by test type). Urine-based tests for chlamydia/gonorrhea require not urinating for at least 1 hour before sample collection.
Biomarkers Tested
10Chlamydia is a very common sexually transmissible infection. If left untreated, chlamydia can cause pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can lead to chronic pain and infertility.
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Untreated gonorrhea can lead to long-term health concerns and, in some cases, infertility.
Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection that may cause a yellowy green, ‘frothy’ discharge that is often accompanied by an unpleasant odour and vaginal or vulval itching.
Bacteria infecting the genital and urinary tract; can cause urethritis, cervicitis, and PID.
Detects HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies and/or p24 antigen. Fourth-generation tests can detect infection as early as 2–4 weeks after exposure. Early detection enables treatment that can achieve viral suppression and prevent transmission.
An enzyme found in the liver, heart, and muscles. While less liver-specific than ALT, elevated AST can indicate liver damage, heart attack, or muscle injury. The AST/ALT ratio helps distinguish between different liver conditions.
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is a protein associated with allergic reactions that is normally found in very small amounts in the blood. IgE functions as part of the body's immune system (its defence against 'intruders').
Indicates immunity against HBV due to vaccination or previous infection.
Indicates past or current Hepatitis B infection.
Detects antibodies to hepatitis C virus, indicating current or past infection. A positive result requires confirmatory RNA testing. Hepatitis C is now curable with direct-acting antiviral medications in most patients.
