Type
Red Light Therapy
Duration
10 min
A ten-minute full-body red and near-infrared light therapy session using high-output LED panels. The wavelengths used in red light therapy are absorbed by mitochondrial chromophores and may support cellular energy production, skin health, muscle recovery, and inflammation reduction.
Red light therapy — also called photobiomodulation — uses specific wavelengths of red (typically 630-670nm) and near-infrared (810-850nm) light to stimulate cellular processes. The primary proposed mechanism involves cytochrome c oxidase, a photosensitive enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain that absorbs these wavelengths. This absorption may enhance ATP production, reduce oxidative stress, and modulate nitric oxide release. One Thirty Labs offers full-body red light therapy using high-output LED panels that deliver therapeutic-grade irradiance across the entire body. Sessions last approximately ten minutes — a relatively short exposure time that reflects the concentrated output of the panels. Published research on photobiomodulation has explored applications in skin rejuvenation and collagen production, wound healing, muscle recovery and delayed-onset muscle soreness, joint comfort, and cognitive function. The evidence base is growing but variable across applications, and optimal dosing protocols continue to be refined. At 195 DKK, full-body red light is the most affordable treatment at One Thirty Labs and works well as an add-on to other modalities — particularly cryotherapy, infrared sauna, or compression therapy. The short session time makes it easy to fit into a multi-treatment visit. Sessions are bookable online through the One Thirty Labs website.
