The procedure is offered at a transparent fixed price of 23,500 Kč, performed by plastic surgeon MUDr. Martin Skála under local anaesthesia (general anaesthesia available where appropriate). The cartilage is scored and repositioned with permanent internal sutures so the ear sits naturally against the head, and both ears are usually treated in one session for symmetry. Recovery centres on wearing a protective headband, initially full-time and then at night, while the reshaped cartilage stabilises.

Protruding ears are one of the most common congenital aesthetic concerns and one of the most straightforward to correct surgically. Otoplasty does not change hearing or ear function — it adjusts the angle and folding of the ear cartilage so the ears sit in a natural position against the head. **The procedure:** Through an incision placed in the natural crease behind the ear, the surgeon exposes the cartilage and reshapes it — typically recreating the antihelical fold that is underdeveloped in protruding ears and/or reducing an overly deep conchal bowl. The new shape is held with permanent internal sutures. The behind-the-ear incision means the resulting scar is invisible in everyday life. Both ears are almost always operated in the same session, even when one protrudes more, to achieve symmetry. **Anaesthesia and setting:** In adults the procedure is routinely done under local anaesthesia as a day case; general anaesthesia is available in OB CARE's hospital-grade theatres for patients who prefer it. The fixed 23,500 Kč price includes the pre-operative examination, anaesthesia, medication, and sutures. **Recovery:** A padded dressing is worn for the first days, then replaced by an elastic headband — worn continuously for about two weeks and at night for several more weeks to protect the reshaped cartilage. Discomfort is mild and managed with standard analgesics. Most adults return to desk work within a week. Contact sports should be avoided for about two months. **Results:** The correction is permanent once the cartilage has healed in its new position.
