Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Mild to moderate HBOT sessions in soft shell (1.5 ATA) or hard shell (up to 2.0 ATA) chambers, using O2genes' own Hyperbaric Oxygen Cocoon® manufactured in Singapore to ASME, CE, and ISO standards.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) at O2genes involves breathing near-pure oxygen inside a pressurised chamber, dramatically increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved in blood plasma and delivered to tissues throughout the body. At 1.5–2.0 ATA — the pressures offered at O2genes — oxygen concentration in plasma can rise by 10 to 15 times normal atmospheric levels, enabling oxygen to reach hypoxic or inflamed tissue that red blood cells cannot easily penetrate. O2genes offers two chamber categories. The soft shell Hyperbaric Oxygen Cocoon® operates at 1.5 ATA and is well suited to mild hyperbaric protocols for general wellness, sleep improvement, and recovery. The hard shell Cocoon® reaches pressures of 1.4–2.0 ATA and accommodates more targeted treatment protocols for longevity support, cognitive enhancement, and post-exertion recovery. The hard shell lineup includes three signature models — the Altus, Aura, and Elixir — each designed for different comfort and feature profiles. All chambers are manufactured by O2genes in Singapore and certified to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards, CE marking, and ISO compliance. Sessions are administered following protocols aligned with SHUMEC (Singapore Underwater Hyperbaric Medicine Course) and IHA-USA (International Hyperbarics Association) guidelines, and the clinic was founded by Dr. Josh Lim (PhD), who holds formal hyperbaric training qualifications from both bodies. Research on mild HBOT at 1.3–2.0 ATA has demonstrated benefits for: cognitive function and neuroplasticity; sleep quality and circadian rhythm regulation; athletic recovery through reduced inflammation and accelerated tissue repair; immune modulation; and cellular senescence reversal in telomere length studies. Sessions typically run for 60 minutes and clients can read, rest, or listen to audio during the session. The experience is non-invasive and generally well tolerated, with ear equalisation (similar to descending in an aeroplane) the main adjustment required at the start of each session. O2genes' Ubi Techpark showroom allows prospective clients and commercial partners — including hotels, wellness centres, and sports facilities — to experience the chambers firsthand before purchase or rental.
