Dr Menka Gupta — a certified Functional Blood Pathology practitioner — applies the discipline of functional medicine to interpret results against optimal health ranges, uncovering patterns of subclinical dysfunction that conventional medicine routinely overlooks until frank disease is established. The standard functional panel covers complete blood count with differentials, comprehensive metabolic panel (kidney and liver function, electrolytes, fasting glucose), HbA1c for long-term glycaemic control, full lipid profile including triglycerides and HDL/LDL particle characterisation, thyroid function (TSH, free and total T3/T4, reverse T3), iron studies with ferritin, vitamin D (25-OH), vitamin B12 and folate, C-reactive protein, homocysteine, and uric acid.
