A bespoke two-hour health assessment exclusive to Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, combining a full-body physical examination by a dedicated GP with senior nurse-led clinical testing. Covers 25+ parameters including ECG, lung function, comprehensive blood work with vitamin D and thyroid levels, and gender-specific cancer screenings with fast-track specialist referral.
The Parkside Platinum is a standalone assessment programme unique to Nuffield Health's Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, designed as an alternative to the standard four-tier assessment menu available at other London locations. Rather than splitting time between a doctor and physiologist, the Platinum concentrates the clinical element: one hour with a dedicated GP followed by one hour with a senior nurse for sample collection and diagnostic testing. The GP consultation begins with a thorough medical history review and progresses to a full-body physical examination. This is followed by blood pressure measurement, heart age scoring, and a resting ECG. Lung function testing via spirometry is included as standard -- a feature not available in the standard Lifestyle or Female assessments -- establishing a baseline for respiratory health that is particularly valuable for former smokers, urban residents exposed to air pollution, and anyone with a family history of respiratory disease. Blood work is broader than the standard 360 panel in certain respects: vitamin D and thyroid levels are tested regardless of age (the standard programme restricts thyroid testing to women aged 50+), and cancer screening markers are included for all eligible patients. Women receive ovarian cancer markers, cervical smear, breast examination, and pelvic examination. Men receive prostate and testicular examinations. Bowel cancer testing is included for all patients. Iron levels, diabetes screening, cholesterol, and liver and kidney function complete the blood panel. The Parkside Platinum occupies a distinctive position in the Nuffield Health range: priced at £850, it sits between the Female (£529) and 360 (£869) assessments but offers some elements -- vitamin D, thyroid at all ages, lung function, and cancer screenings -- that are either restricted or absent in the standard programme. Patients receive a personalised written report and fast-track referral to specialist consultants at Parkside Hospital if any findings warrant further investigation.
