NOWHERE's Sauna & Steam Drop-In gives you 2 hours to explore the heat therapies at the Dempsey Hill bathhouse. The Finnish-style dry sauna operates at 85–90°C — the upper end of the therapeutic range — producing a powerful sudorific response that opens pores, clears airways, and induces a parasympathetic relaxation state. Heat therapy at this intensity triggers heat shock protein production, which supports cellular repair and cardiovascular adaptation comparable in some studies to moderate aerobic exercise. The steam room operates at a lower temperature (around 40–50°C) but with near-100% humidity, creating a different sensory experience. The moist heat is particularly effective for respiratory relief, skin hydration, and gentle muscle relaxation — many guests rotate between the dry sauna and steam room to vary the intensity of their heat protocol. Both heat facilities connect directly to the contrast circuit: the cold plunge and hot pools are a short walk away, allowing guests to build full Scandinavian-style contrast therapy loops. The facility's design encourages slow, intentional movement between zones rather than a rushed spa experience. The session also includes access to the Epsom salt hot pool and nanobubble Cloud Bath, towels, shower facilities, and a vanity area. A lounge area serves beverages and light refreshments.
