The VI Peel at Next Health Bellevue is a branded medium-depth chemical peel formulated by Vitality Institute Medical Products using a synergistic combination of active chemical exfoliants: trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as the primary peeling agent providing controlled depth of epidermal and superficial dermal penetration, phenol for augmented protein denaturing and deepening effect in specific formulations, salicylic acid for comedolytic action and lipid-soluble follicular penetration to address acne and congestion, tretinoin (a vitamin A derivative) to accelerate cellular turnover and enhance peel penetration while priming fibroblast activity for the post-peel healing phase, and vitamin C as an antioxidant and melanogenesis inhibitor supporting the post-peel skin brightening response. Together, these agents create a controlled wound in the epidermis and superficial papillary dermis that triggers an organised healing response: the damaged epidermal layers peel away over 4–7 days, revealing the fresher, smoother skin layer beneath while the dermal healing response stimulates collagen remodelling and pigment normalisation below the surface.
