MRI Scan

MRI of a single spine section — lumbosacral (L1-S1). The most common spinal scan for lower back pain, sciatica, and disc herniation assessment.
The lumbar spine MRI at NewMedical covers the lumbosacral region from L1 through S1. Sagittal T1, T2, and STIR sequences reveal vertebral alignment and disc morphology, while axial T2 images at each disc level detail the spinal canal, lateral recesses, and neural foramina. The radiologist documents disc pathology at every level — bulge, protrusion, extrusion, or sequestration — and grades any central or foraminal stenosis. Facet joint arthropathy, ligamentum flavum hypertrophy, spondylolisthesis, and Modic endplate changes are reported. The cauda equina is assessed for compression in patients with bilateral lower limb symptoms. This is NewMedical's most frequently requested spinal scan. At 590 PLN it matches the per-section price for cervical and thoracic spine. Patients with widespread symptoms can book the full spine package covering all three sections at 1,690 PLN, saving 80 PLN compared to three separate bookings.
