MRI Scan
Duration
30 min
MRI of a single knee joint assessing menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments, articular cartilage, and bone marrow. No contrast required.
NewMedical's knee MRI uses a dedicated joint coil and multi-sequence protocol covering sagittal, coronal, and axial planes with proton-density, T2-weighted, and fat-saturated sequences. The radiologist evaluates the medial and lateral menisci for tears and degeneration, the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments for continuity, the collateral ligaments, and articular cartilage on all three compartments. Bone marrow signal is assessed for contusions, stress fractures, and osteochondral lesions. The patellofemoral compartment is reviewed for tracking, chondromalacia, and patellar tendinopathy. Baker's cysts and other popliteal fossa pathology are documented. At 740 PLN, the knee MRI is appropriately positioned for the Kraków private imaging market. The scan takes approximately 25-30 minutes and no contrast injection is needed. Patients should remove any knee braces or supports before the examination.
