Type
MRI Scan
Duration
40 min
MRI of the abdominal cavity with contrast, covering liver, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and adrenal glands. Superior soft-tissue contrast without ionising radiation.
The abdominal MRI at NewMedical provides detailed imaging of the solid abdominal organs using contrast-enhanced sequences for improved tissue characterisation. The examination covers the liver (parenchyma, focal lesions, vascular anatomy), gallbladder and biliary system, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and adrenal glands. Contrast enhancement is included in the 750 PLN price, with an additional 290 PLN for the contrast agent itself. Post-gadolinium sequences improve detection and characterisation of focal liver lesions, pancreatic masses, and renal tumours. Diffusion-weighted imaging adds sensitivity for small lesions and helps distinguish benign from potentially malignant findings. This scan is indicated for investigation of abdominal pain, characterisation of lesions found on ultrasound, liver disease assessment, and surveillance of known abdominal pathology. MRI avoids the ionising radiation of CT, making it suitable for patients requiring repeated imaging.
