Brain Mapping (qEEG) Assessment

Brain mapping — also known as quantitative EEG (qEEG) — is the process of recording and analysing the brain's electrical activity to produce a detailed map of neurological function. At New Leaf, this assessment is conducted by Santiago Brand, the clinic's brain specialist, and serves as the diagnostic foundation for personalised neurofeedback and brain training protocols.

The 90-minute session begins with the placement of EEG electrodes across the scalp to record brainwave patterns in real time. The system captures activity across multiple brain regions simultaneously, generating a rich dataset of delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma wave amplitudes and frequencies. Following the assessment, New Leaf prepares a comprehensive written report of findings, which is delivered via email. Clients are then invited to a 30-minute online consultation with Santiago Brand to walk through the results, understand what the patterns mean for their specific concerns, and discuss recommended next steps — which may include neurofeedback therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or integration with counselling or nutrition services at the clinic.
