An MRI of the lumbar (lower back) spine that images the vertebrae, discs, spinal canal and nerve roots, commonly used to investigate low back pain, sciatica and suspected disc herniation. The study uses no radiation and shows soft tissue in fine detail. At Neoscan the scan is performed on a Philips Ingenia Prodiva 1.5T system with the in-bore Ambient Experience environment, allowing you to choose lighting, music and projected imagery to make the examination feel calmer — a feature aimed especially at people who feel claustrophobic or anxious.
