Type
MRI Scan
Duration
1 hour
A combined MRI of all three regions of the spine — cervical, thoracic and lumbar — in a single appointment, imaging the vertebrae, discs, spinal cord and nerve roots throughout the back. It suits patients needing a whole-spine assessment. At Neoscan it is performed on a 1.5T scanner with the Ambient Experience environment to keep the longer study comfortable, and reported by radiology specialists. No referral is required, and booking all three segments together is cheaper than separately.
A full spine MRI covers all three segments of the spine in one visit — the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back) and lumbar (lower back) regions — giving a complete view of the vertebrae, intervertebral discs, the spinal cord and the nerve roots along the entire length of the spine. It is useful when symptoms are widespread or when a condition needs to be assessed across the whole spine rather than at a single level, and for monitoring known conditions over time. Imaging the whole spine in one session is also more convenient and, at Neoscan, more economical than booking each region separately. The examination is performed on a Philips Ingenia Prodiva 1.5T scanner with the in-bore Ambient Experience environment, where you can select lighting, music and projected imagery to make the longer scan more comfortable — particularly valuable for anyone who feels anxious or claustrophobic, given that a three-segment study takes longer than a single region. You lie on your back and stay still while each segment is imaged in turn, typically over around 45 to 60 minutes in total, with ear protection provided for the scanner noise. Most full-spine studies are performed without contrast, with an enhanced option available where clinically indicated. Neoscan prices the combined three-segment study (1,900 zł) below the cost of three individual scans, with a two-segment option (1,300 zł) also available. The images are reviewed and reported by the centre's radiology specialists, with a standard written report in about ten working days and an expedited 48-hour option on request. Findings are intended to support your treating clinician. Please tell the team about any implants, a pacemaker or pregnancy before booking so your suitability can be confirmed.
