A focused MRI of the cervical (neck) section of the spine, showing the vertebrae, intervertebral discs, spinal cord and nerve roots in detail. It is often used to investigate neck pain, arm pain or tingling, and suspected disc problems. About this treatment
An MRI of the cervical spine produces detailed images of the seven neck vertebrae, the cushioning discs between them, the spinal cord and the nerve roots that branch out towards the shoulders and arms.
