Profhilo is a bioremodelling injectable distinct from traditional dermal fillers. Rather than adding volume to specific areas, Profhilo contains 64mg of highly purified hyaluronic acid per 2ml syringe in a unique stabilised hybrid complex — a combination of high-molecular-weight and low-molecular-weight HA chains that are thermally cross-linked without chemical additives (NAHYCO technology). This dual-weight structure allows the product to spread evenly through tissue while maintaining residence time long enough to stimulate a biological response. At Neonia, Profhilo is administered using the standardised BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) injection technique, which involves 5 precisely mapped injection sites per side of the face (10 total). These points correspond to areas of maximum tissue spread and minimal risk of vascular compromise. The practitioner delivers slow bolus injections at each point, and the product's high fluidity allows it to distribute through the tissue naturally over the following 24-48 hours, hydrating the skin from within. The biological mechanism is what sets Profhilo apart from hydrating fillers. The slow degradation of the HA complex stimulates four types of collagen (I, III, IV, VII) and elastin through activation of keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and adipocytes. This multi-target stimulation improves skin elasticity, firmness, and hydration at a structural level rather than simply occupying space. Clinical studies show measurable improvements in skin laxity scores after the standard two-session protocol. The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. Small wheals (bumps) appear at the injection sites immediately after treatment and resolve within 12-24 hours. There is no significant downtime. The standard protocol consists of two sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, with results developing progressively over 8-12 weeks after the second session.
