Clatuu Alpha cryolipolysis at Neonia uses controlled cooling technology to selectively destroy subcutaneous fat cells without damaging the overlying skin, nerves, or muscle tissue. The treatment exploits the fact that adipocytes (fat cells) are more susceptible to cold-induced apoptosis (programmed cell death) than surrounding tissues. When cooled to approximately -9°C to -11°C for a sustained period, fat cells undergo crystallisation of their lipid content, which triggers an apoptotic cascade over the following weeks. The Clatuu Alpha system features a 360-degree cooling applicator that surrounds the tissue fold from all sides, providing more uniform cooling distribution compared to single-surface older-generation devices. The treatment area is marked, a gel pad is placed to protect the skin, and the applicator vacuum-draws the tissue into the cooling cup. Patients feel an initial intense cold sensation for the first 5-10 minutes, which subsides as the area numbs.
