Swelling and bruising resolve within seven to fourteen days; sutures are removed on day seven.

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty addresses one of the most common age-related facial changes: excess skin accumulating in the upper eyelid that creates a heavy, tired or hooded appearance. The procedure is done under local anaesthesia in the clinic's dedicated Wolkerova procedure room, with no general anaesthetic or hospitalisation needed. The surgeon marks the natural eyelid crease before anaesthesia, then incises precisely along this line, removes the pre-determined excess skin (and occasionally a small amount of underlying fat or muscle if indicated) and closes the incision with fine sutures.
