Lower Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty targets the periorbital changes that create a perpetually tired or aged appearance: fat herniation causing eye bag bulges, excess lower lid skin creating folds, and the shadow effect that deepens under-eye hollows. The procedure can address one or all of these components, depending on the patient's anatomy assessed during the pre-operative consultation.

Procedure time is approximately sixty minutes. Recovery mirrors the upper eyelid: significant swelling and bruising peak in the first three to five days and gradually resolve over ten to fourteen days; fine sutures are removed between days seven and ten. Patients can resume light activities within a few days; exercise, swimming and sun exposure are restricted for two weeks, with scars continuing to mature and fade over several months.
