Native 3.0T MRI of a single knee joint covering menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments, articular cartilage, and subchondral bone. No referral required.
The knee MRI at MyDiagnostic uses the 3.0 Tesla Philips Ingenia Elition scanner to achieve high-resolution imaging of the internal knee structures. The protocol includes sagittal proton-density and T2-weighted sequences for meniscal and cruciate ligament evaluation, coronal images for collateral ligament assessment, and axial slices through the patellofemoral compartment. The radiologist systematically reports on the medial and lateral menisci for tears and degeneration, the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments for partial or complete disruption, articular cartilage thickness and surface integrity across all three compartments, and the subchondral bone plate for marrow oedema or occult fractures. The higher signal at 3T is particularly useful for cartilage imaging, where subtle surface irregularities and early thinning may be missed on lower-field scanners. The 70 cm wide-bore gantry is more comfortable than older narrow-bore designs, especially for larger patients. The flat-rate price of EUR 330 covers a single knee; patients needing both knees scanned can book two regions consecutively.
