The abdominal MRI at MyDiagnostic covers the major solid abdominal organs using the 3.0 Tesla Philips Ingenia Elition scanner. The native (non-contrast) protocol includes T1, T2, and diffusion-weighted sequences that provide excellent soft-tissue contrast for evaluating the liver, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and adrenal glands without ionising radiation. The examination is well suited for characterisation of hepatic lesions, renal mass assessment, pancreatic cyst surveillance, and general abdominal screening. MRI's superior soft-tissue contrast compared to ultrasound makes it particularly valuable for patients with inconclusive ultrasound findings or elevated liver enzymes of uncertain cause. Priced at EUR 330 as a single-region scan, gadolinium contrast enhancement is available as a EUR 60 add-on when dynamic contrast phases are clinically needed for lesion characterisation. The lack of radiation makes MRI suitable for patients requiring serial follow-up imaging.
