Cryolipolysis (Fat Freezing)

Cryolipolysis exploits the fact that fat cells are more vulnerable to cold than the surrounding skin, nerves and muscle. Cooling a pinched fold of tissue to around +4 to −10 °C for 35–60 minutes induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in a portion of the fat cells; over the following 6–12 weeks macrophages clear the dead cells, measurably thinning the treated fat pocket — typically by 20–25% per session.

The session

A gel membrane protects the skin, the vacuum applicator draws the fat fold into the cooling chamber, and intense cold with initial pulling discomfort gives way to numbness within minutes — most clients read or use their phone during treatment. Afterward the area is massaged to enhance the effect; redness, numbness and tenderness can persist for days to two weeks.
