The Standard profile extends the Basis check into a genuinely comprehensive metabolic screen. The addition of HbA1c transforms diabetes screening from a single glucose snapshot into a 3-month average — far more reliable for detecting pre-diabetes, which fasting glucose alone misses in many cases. The full lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides) enables proper cardiovascular risk stratification using the European SCORE2 model.
