The Plus profile delivers the depth of screening typically associated with executive health checks at a fraction of the cost. Building on the Standard profile, it adds a full blood count (large blood count) which screens for anaemia, infection, platelet disorders, and haematological malignancies through automated differential analysis. Uric acid screening identifies hyperuricaemia — a risk factor for gout and an independent predictor of cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease progression. The association between elevated uric acid and metabolic syndrome is increasingly recognised. Pancreatic markers (lipase, amylase) screen for pancreatic dysfunction, which can be caused by gallstones, alcohol, medications, and autoimmune conditions. Chronic pancreatitis is often under-diagnosed in its early stages. Iron status assessment (serum iron and/or ferritin) identifies iron deficiency — the most common nutritional deficiency globally — and iron overload conditions including hereditary haemochromatosis, which affects approximately 1 in 200 Northern Europeans.
