The Gesund & Fit Basis profile provides the minimum viable health screen at an accessible price point. The selection of markers targets the conditions most commonly detected through routine blood work: diabetes (glucose), dyslipidaemia (cholesterol), liver dysfunction (GPT/ALT), and kidney impairment (creatinine). Fasting glucose screens for diabetes and pre-diabetes — conditions that affect an estimated 8–10% of the German adult population, with a further 15–20% in the pre-diabetic range. Cholesterol provides a first-pass cardiovascular risk indicator, though a full lipid panel (available in the Standard and Plus profiles) gives a more complete picture. GPT (ALT) is the most liver-specific of the common transaminases. An isolated elevation may indicate non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which affects approximately one in four European adults. Creatinine with eGFR calculation screens for chronic kidney disease, which is often asymptomatic until advanced stages.
