Mesotherapy — Skin Rejuvenation and Rehydration

Intradermal microinjection of skin-revitalising cocktails containing vitamins, amino acids, peptides and hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate and stimulate collagen and elastin production in the face, neck, décolletage and backs of hands. Mesotherapy reaches the mesodermal layer of the skin directly, bypassing the epidermal barrier that limits what topical products can achieve. Each session delivers concentrated active ingredients exactly where ageing has depleted them, triggering a renewal cascade that produces measurable improvements in skin texture, firmness and luminosity over a course of treatments.

Mesotherapy was developed by French physician Michel Pistor in the 1950s as a technique for delivering therapeutic agents locally into the mesoderm — the middle layer of embryonic tissue from which skin's connective structures, blood vessels and adipose tissue derive. In aesthetic practice today it refers to a series of very superficial microinjections (0.5–4 mm depth) placed across the treatment zone using a fine-gauge needle or multi-needle device, delivering cocktails of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, growth factors, hyaluronic acid and peptides directly into the papillary and reticular dermis. The logic is pharmacokinetic: the stratum corneum limits topical penetration of most large molecules. Even well-formulated serums deliver a small fraction of their active concentration into the dermis. Microinjection bypasses this barrier entirely, depositing the full dose of active ingredients exactly where collagen-producing fibroblasts reside and where the skin's hydration infrastructure — the glycosaminoglycan matrix — has been degraded by age and photoexposure. At MUDr. Brychtová's practice the mesotherapy cocktails are selected according to the presenting concern. For deep rehydration and a luminosity boost, the formulation centres on non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which integrates into the dermal matrix and creates a hydration reservoir that plumps and brightens skin within days of the first session. For anti-ageing and firming, peptide-enriched cocktails with growth factors and vitamins (particularly vitamin C and the B group) stimulate fibroblast activity, supporting new collagen and elastin synthesis over successive sessions. The treatment areas offered are face, neck, décolletage and the backs of the hands — all zones where the skin is thin, subject to chronic photodamage and among the first to show the effects of intrinsic ageing. Each area requires slightly different cocktail selection and injection depth, and MUDr. Brychtová tailors the session to the specific zone being treated. A course of three to six sessions spaced two to four weeks apart is recommended for initial results consolidation. After the course, one to two maintenance sessions per year sustain the improvement. Mesotherapy is well tolerated; the main side effects are temporary redness and occasional small bruises at injection points, resolving within one to three days. Sessions are performed after topical anaesthetic cream application to minimise discomfort. The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy, over active skin infections or in patients on anticoagulant therapy.
