WDP Pathology is a Western Australian pathology provider that processes samples collected at this site at their accredited laboratory, returning results to the referring practitioner typically within one to two business days for standard panels. The Mount Medical Centre collection centre accepts doctor-issued referrals for the full range of diagnostic blood tests ordered in primary care, general internal medicine, and specialist practice: full blood count (FBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), liver function tests (LFTs), thyroid function tests (TSH, fT3, fT4), HbA1c for diabetes monitoring, iron studies (serum iron, ferritin, transferrin, TIBC), vitamin D (25-OHD), B12 and folate, inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR), and hormone panels (testosterone, oestradiol, FSH, LH, prolactin, cortisol, DHEA-S) ordered by GPs or endocrinologists. Specialist tests performed on-site include the Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), used for gestational diabetes screening during pregnancy, and NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing), a cell-free foetal DNA blood test for chromosomal abnormalities including trisomy 21, 18, and 13. The centre accepts patients with a valid GP or specialist referral; most standard diagnostic blood tests are fully Medicare-rebatable with a valid referral and Medicare card, making out-of-pocket costs negligible for Australian residents.
