PRP and PRFM (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) EZ-Gel facial treatments at Motykie Med Spa use the patient's own concentrated growth factors for skin rejuvenation, collagen stimulation, and volume restoration. PRFM EZ-Gel is processed into a gel matrix that provides sustained release of growth factors and can be used as a volumising injectable. Suitable for skin texture improvement, fine lines, under-eye rejuvenation, and general skin health support.
Motykie Med Spa offers both standard PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and the more advanced PRFM EZ-Gel (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) for facial rejuvenation, representing two generations of autologous growth factor therapy. Standard PRP for facial use is prepared by centrifuging a blood draw to isolate the platelet-concentrated plasma fraction, which is then applied topically during a microneedling session (the 'vampire facial' protocol) or injected intradermally or subdermally into areas of concern. The growth factors released by activated platelets — including PDGF, VEGF, TGF-β, and EGF — stimulate fibroblast proliferation, collagen synthesis, and angiogenesis when delivered into the facial dermis, promoting tissue renewal and skin quality improvement over weeks to months. PRFM EZ-Gel is a second-generation product using a different processing protocol (the EZ-PRF system by Process for PRP) that produces a platelet-rich fibrin matrix — the centrifuged product retains a higher concentration of platelets within a fibrin scaffold rather than liquid plasma. This fibrin network creates a gel-like consistency that can be used as an injectable volumiser in addition to a biostimulant: the fibrin matrix provides immediate structural support at the injection site while the embedded growth factors release in a sustained fashion over days to weeks as the fibrin scaffold slowly dissolves, extending the biological effect beyond what standard liquid PRP achieves. The gel consistency allows EZ-Gel to be used as a volumising agent for under-eye hollow correction, temple filling, and general facial volume restoration — areas where a traditional HA filler would otherwise be used — with the advantage of using entirely the patient's own tissue with zero risk of foreign body reaction. Common treatment areas include the under-eye tear troughs, nasolabial folds, mid-face, and temples. One to three sessions are typically recommended for skin quality goals; volumising results from EZ-Gel injections may last several months as the fibrin matrix integrates and remodels.
