The Perfect Peel is a TCA-based medium-depth peel that also incorporates glutathione (an antioxidant that inhibits tyrosinase and melanin synthesis at multiple steps), retinoic acid, salicylic acid, kojic acid, and phenylethyl resorcinol; the combination of controlled depth resurfacing and integrated depigmentation agents makes it effective for sun damage, fine lines, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation in a single application, with seven to ten days of visible peeling as the skin undergoes full epidermal renewal. Cosmelan is a specialty depigmentation treatment system from mesoestetic rather than a standard chemical peel — it applies a combination of kojic acid, phytic acid, azelaic acid, arbutin, and ascorbic acid in a mask format applied in-clinic and left on for a set number of hours, followed by a structured at-home maintenance cream regimen. Cosmelan targets melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and hormonal pigmentation at both the epidermis and dermal melanocyte level for longer-duration pigment suppression compared to a single-session peel.
