Magnetic resonance imaging of the thigh, giving a detailed view of the muscles, tendons, soft tissues and the femur. It is used to investigate muscle strains and tears, suspected soft-tissue masses, unexplained thigh pain or swelling and bone-related symptoms. About this treatment

An MRI of the thigh provides detailed images of the large muscle groups of the upper leg — the quadriceps at the front, the hamstrings at the back and the adductors on the inner side — together with their tendons, the surrounding soft tissues and the femur. This makes it well suited to assessing muscle strains and tears, particularly the kind of hamstring or quadriceps injuries common in sport, as well as suspected soft-tissue lumps or masses, unexplained…

At MojaDiagnoza the scan is acquired on the centre's own MRI scanner. You lie still on the table while the sequences are obtained, generally over about fifteen to twenty-five minutes, and ear protection is provided because the machine is noisy during imaging.
