Modrý pavilon's ophthalmology team offers blepharoplasty — surgical correction of the upper and lower eyelids — to address drooping or excess upper-eyelid skin and lower-eyelid changes that can make the eyes look tired or older. Performed as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia by the clinic's eye specialists, with separate pricing for the upper and lower eyelids (both eyes).

About this treatment

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct the appearance and, in some cases, the function of the eyelids. With age, the upper eyelids can develop excess, drooping skin (dermatochalasis) that hoods the eye and, in more pronounced cases, can affect the upper field of vision; the lower eyelids can develop laxity and puffiness. Modrý pavilon's ophthalmology team performs both upper- and lower-eyelid correction.

Upper eyelid lift

Excess skin (and, where needed, a small amount of muscle or fat) is removed through an incision placed in the natural eyelid crease, so the resulting scar is well concealed. This opens up the eye and gives a refreshed, less tired appearance.
