Professional dental hygiene is a preventive treatment that removes plaque, tartar (calculus) and surface staining that daily brushing and flossing cannot fully address, helping to prevent gum disease (gingivitis and periodontitis) and tooth decay.
What a session involves
A dental hygienist assesses the gums and teeth, then removes hard and soft deposits — typically using ultrasonic scaling and hand instruments — followed by polishing and, where appropriate, the application of preventive agents. The hygienist also reviews brushing and interdental cleaning technique and recommends individual oral-hygiene aids, which at Modrý pavilon are included in the price.
