RF Microneedling (D-FRAX)

D-FRAX combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered into the skin to tighten laxity and improve texture more effectively than microneedling alone. The radiofrequency heats the deeper dermis to stimulate collagen, making it well suited to early jowls, crêpey skin and enlarged pores on the face, neck and selected body areas. D-FRAX is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling system that pairs the collagen-stimulating action of microneedling with controlled RF energy released from the needle tips into the deeper layers of the skin. While the micro-needles trigger the surface healing response, the radiofrequency heats the dermis, which is associated with contraction of existing collagen and the formation of new collagen and elastin — giving a firming and tightening effect that plain microneedling alone does not achieve. At MM Clinic the area is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around forty-five to sixty minutes depending on the region. Expect redness and a feeling of mild tightness or warmth for a day or two, with little other downtime. It is particularly useful for early skin laxity — softening jowls, firming the lower face and neck, and improving crêpey skin around the eyes — as well as enlarged pores and uneven texture, and the clinic can also treat the décolletage, hands, abdomen and thighs. Because results build as collagen remodels, a course is recommended; the clinic offers the fourth session at half price within a package, and a vitamin cocktail can be added to support the skin. Effects continue to improve over the following months, with maintenance once or twice a year.
