Hyaluronic acid lip enhancement to add subtle volume, improve symmetry and define the lip border, shaped by hand to keep the result in proportion with the rest of the face. At MM Clinic the procedure is performed by a physician using soft, lidocaine-containing fillers for comfort, with one millilitre as the standard starting volume. Because the filler is hyaluronic acid, the result can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you ever want to adjust or reverse it.

Treatment begins with a short discussion of your goals — more hydration and a tidier border, a little extra volume, or correction of asymmetry — and the doctor recommends a volume accordingly, with one millilitre being a common starting point.
A topical anaesthetic is applied first and the filler products also contain lidocaine, so the procedure is generally well tolerated. The gel is placed with a fine needle or cannula and shaped by hand; results are visible immediately, though lips commonly swell for 24–48 hours and small bruises can occur before the final shape becomes clear over one to two weeks.
