Laser treatment to reduce hyperpigmentation, sun spots and diffuse redness by targeting excess melanin and superficial vessels in the skin. About this treatment

Laser removal of pigmentation and redness uses targeted light energy that is preferentially absorbed by the pigment in sun spots and patches of hyperpigmentation, and by the haemoglobin in the small superficial vessels responsible for facial redness. The absorbed energy breaks down excess melanin, which the skin then clears, and helps reduce the appearance of diffuse redness, evening out overall tone over a course of treatments.

At MM Clinic the skin is assessed and the laser tailored to the concern, with a session typically taking around fifteen to thirty minutes depending on the area. Treated pigment may initially darken before flaking away over the following days, and mild redness or warmth is normal shortly afterwards.
