Platelet-rich fibrin is a next-generation relative of PRP, also made from your own blood but prepared without anticoagulant so it forms a slower-releasing fibrin matrix rich in cells and growth factors. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) builds on the same idea as PRP but uses a different preparation.
