Abdominoplasty with MUDr. Miroslav Dolejš removes excess abdominal skin and fat and tightens the anterior abdominal wall — the definitive correction for post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss abdominal laxity that no amount of exercise can fix. Surgery is performed under general anaesthesia (included in the 38,000 Kč starting price) in the plastic surgery theatres of Plzeň University Hospital. About this treatment
Pregnancy and significant weight loss commonly leave two problems that exercise cannot reverse: an apron of loose abdominal skin, and stretched or separated rectus abdominis muscles (diastasis) that cause the lower belly to bulge regardless of fitness. Abdominoplasty addresses both in one operation.
The procedure
Through a low transverse incision placed so it hides beneath underwear, the abdominal skin is elevated, the rectus muscles are plicated (stitched back together along the midline) to restore a flat, firm abdominal wall, and excess skin and fat are removed. Preparation required
