About this treatment
Liposuction is a contouring operation, not a weight-loss method: it targets genetically stubborn fat compartments that persist at stable body weight — the lower abdomen, hips and flanks, inner and outer thighs, knees, upper arms, and submental (chin) area.
Technique
Through incisions of a few millimetres, tumescent fluid (dilute anaesthetic and adrenaline) is infiltrated into the fat layer, which is then aspirated with fine cannulas in controlled, even passes. Even fat removal and respect for the overlying skin's retraction capacity are what separate a smooth result from irregularity — the central skill of the operating surgeon.
