About this treatment
Facial ageing in the lower face follows a predictable pattern: the skin and the deeper SMAS layer lose elasticity, descending to create jowls along the jawline, deepening marionette and nasolabial folds, and producing loose, banded skin on the neck. A surgical facelift remains the only intervention that durably repositions these descended tissues.
The surgical facelift
Through incisions concealed along the hairline and around the ear, the skin is elevated and the deeper SMAS layer is tightened and repositioned vertically — the modern approach that produces a natural, rested look rather than a pulled appearance.
