Type
MRI Scan
Duration
25 min
High-resolution shoulder MRI for rotator cuff assessment, labral pathology, impingement evaluation, and instability investigation.
The shoulder MRI protocol evaluates the rotator cuff tendons (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis, teres minor), the glenoid labrum, the biceps tendon and its anchor, the acromioclavicular joint, and the subacromial-subdeltoid bursa. BioMatrix adaptive technology ensures consistent fat suppression across the curved shoulder anatomy, which is technically challenging and often produces artefact on conventional scanners. Sequences include coronal oblique proton-density fat-saturated images optimised for supraspinatus evaluation, sagittal oblique images for rotator cuff footprint assessment, and axial images for labral and subscapularis tendon analysis. For patients with suspected labral pathology or instability, MR arthrography with intra-articular gadolinium injection is available at additional cost (PLN 1,390). MIRAI's arthroscopic shoulder surgeons perform rotator cuff repair, labral reconstruction, and subacromial decompression on site using 4K visualisation systems, enabling a streamlined pathway from diagnostic imaging to surgical intervention within the same facility.
