The knee MRI protocol at MIRAI Clinic is optimised for the orthopaedic assessment pathway that forms the clinic's core specialty. BioMatrix technology delivers consistent image quality across a wide range of patient body habitus, which is particularly relevant for knee imaging where subcutaneous fat distribution and joint effusion volumes vary considerably between patients. Standard sequences include coronal proton-density fat-saturated images for meniscal and collateral ligament evaluation, sagittal proton-density for cruciate ligament assessment, and axial images for patellofemoral tracking and retinacular integrity. Cartilage mapping sequences can be added for patients being considered for biological joint preservation procedures.
