Type
MRI Scan
Duration
1 hour
Comprehensive MRI covering all three spinal sections — cervical, thoracic, and lumbar — in a single session for complete vertebral column assessment.
The full spine MRI combines cervical, thoracic, and lumbar acquisitions in a single appointment, providing a complete picture of the vertebral column from the craniocervical junction to the sacrum. This is substantially more efficient than booking three separate single-section scans, both in terms of cost (PLN 1,990 vs PLN 2,550 for three individual scans) and time spent in the scanner. The protocol uses table-moving technology to seamlessly transition between spinal regions without repositioning the patient, maintaining consistent image quality throughout. Each section receives the same high-resolution sagittal and axial sequences used in the single-section protocol: T1, T2, STIR, and axial T2. The radiologist evaluates disc morphology at all levels, facet joint arthrosis, ligamentum flavum hypertrophy, foraminal and central canal dimensions, and vertebral body alignment. Full spine MRI is particularly valuable for patients with multi-level symptoms, inflammatory spondyloarthropathy requiring whole-spine assessment (e.g. ankylosing spondylitis screening), spinal deformity evaluation, or generalised neurological symptoms that do not localise to a single level. Orthopaedic consultation is available on the same day for surgical planning if indicated.
